How to Add a Pop of Style to All of Your Adventures

When you’re always on the go, your clothing choices quickly become about both style and functionality, and what better way is there to accomplish that than by picking up a chic athleisure-style outfit? That’s why, when gifted a few incredibly chic and versatile pieces from adidas, I knew I could style the perfect travel outfit for any adventure. What I think, personally, makes the athleisurewear from adidas so exceptional is the cut and color choices! A pop of style, given either by a bold color choice or a daring cut, makes any outfit the star of the show, and I think that’s an important element to add to your athleisurewear outfits, specifically when you’re traveling or on the go.

Comfort is Key

The Cropped V-Neck Sweatshirt from adidas

As someone who regularly travels all over the world, whether it’s for penguin research in South Africa or working with the tourism board in Germany, there isn’t a day that goes by on my trips where I don’t walk at least 7 or 8 miles. That being said, comfort is key. But especially for those tourism board trips, you also need to look cute. That makes athleisurewear the perfect choice for any adventure, no matter the subject matter. That’s why I usually pick a good yet stylish pair of sneakers, a pair of cute jean shorts or pants (or a stylish skirt if I need to look dressier), and a top with a cute cut. The sneakers will serve so I’m not kicking myself after the second or third mile, providing optimum comfort, the bottoms will add a bit of style if necessary, and a top with a cute cut that’s also comfortable will keep me from being uncomfortable all day while also keeping me looking chic. This creates the perfect equation for the perfect Instagram photos from anywhere.

The TLRD Impact Luxe Training High-Support Bra by adidas

That’s why, for my latest adventure, I picked the Adizero SL Running Shoes, TLRD Impact Luxe Training High-Support Bra, and Cropped V-Neck Sweatshirt from adidas and styled it all with a pair of shorts. If I needed to dress up the look a bit, I would have chosen a cute skirt to match the look instead of the shorts or taken off the sports bra and worn a cute flowy day dress under it. The look was majorly comfortable, not too warm in the hot summer sunny i.e. very breathable, and incredibly cute.

A Pop of Style in Your Color Choices

It’s important to consider the season you’re dressing for, and that will determine the color choices you pick for your looks as you go out and around the world on your adventures. However, no matter the season, a cute little pop of color will make any outfit stand out. The key is not to overdo it, as a pop or two of matching colors looks cute, but if you go too crazy, you can look like a traffic pylon.

In the summer, it’s important to pick neon and brighter colors such as pinks, oranges, and greens to serve as your pop of color. In the winter, oranges, purples, burgundies, and reds may look more appropriate.

For my look, I picked the TLRD Impact Luxe Training High-Support Bra as it was immensely comfortable, providing ample support but also not feeling tight or constricting in any way, and also because the hot pink color looks just adorable under a loose baggy sweater or sweatshirt. And the Adizero SL Running Shoes have cute little pink and green spots, making it chic-ly artsy and stylish, the perfect addition to this outfit.

A Pop of Style in Your Cut

As I mentioned before, the cut of your outfit is also important to think about. That’s why I loved the Cropped V-Neck Sweatshirt, as it’s a bit cropped but also loose and freeing. It was breathable for that reason, which is perfect for the summer, and it also provided the perfect fit for the sports bra to sneak out under and give a bit of a peak. Playing with a looser top or a cute crop top can instantly turn almost any outfit fashionable when styled correctly, and this outfit I chose here was no exception.

No matter the outfit you choose for your adventures, be sure to pick something that is breathable, comfortable, and that has a unique cut, as that unique cut could make all the difference in your outfit choices.

All in all, adding a pop of style should be a thought as you pack for your next adventure, no matter where your travels take you. Be sure to think about the comfort of your outfits, the color choices, and the cut of your pieces, and you’ll take your trip photos to the next level.
