The Mysterious World of Crop Circles and Other Unexplained Patterns in Fields

You know that we love to talk about two things: travel and anything quirky and twisted. So, if you’re a curious mind yourself that loves to learn more about the world, then this article will be right up your alley. You’ve probably already heard about crop circles, right? We see them in movies, hear about them on the TV, and they have intrigued our minds for decades. But what are they, really? And is there anything similar to them? Let’s find out now!

Crop Circles: Intricate Designs in Crops

Now, who hasn’t heard of crop circles before? They are not only a huge topic of speculation amidst conspiracy theorists, but also become an icon of pop culture. Any crop pattern can be considered a crop circles. But most of us think of intricate geometric patterns that mysteriously appear overnight in fields, often involving flattened crops like wheat or corn. They can range from simple circles to elaborate, intricate designs.

And while some of the most famous ones throughout history have been proven to be man-made, not all of them are. The funny thing is — there is no actual scientific explanation for them. So, no matter what the cause may be — natural phenomenons, mysterious aircraft, aliens, or other mystical creatures, we know that it is something our current technology cannot recognize. What we do know is that crop circles are most common in southern England and South America.

The Massive Ground Designs of Crop Circles

Who says that crop circle are where it ends with unexplainable ground designs? Geoglyphs encompass expansive ground patterns like the famous Nazca Lines in Peru. These colossal designs, visible from the air, raise questions about their purpose and creation by ancient civilizations. While we do know that they were made by actual civilizations throughout history, we can’t help but wonder what they were all about.

Fairy Circles: Mysterious Circular Patches

Now these ones sound pretty magical, right? And the truth is that they are. Especially considering that we have no logical explanation for them. Fairy circles, predominantly found in desert regions like Namibia, consist of circular patches devoid of vegetation. The origins of these naturally occurring formations remain a subject of scientific curiosity. Some say it is a product of dessert storms, while others believe it is due to fungus living in the sand. But if you ask me, the only possible answer is that they occur when fairies are dancing in a circle around the desert.

Ice Circles: Unusual Frozen Puzzles

Who says that aliens don’t like cold areas too? Ice circles, formed in icy rivers or lakes, showcase perfectly circular discs of ice rotating in water. They are a very rare occurrence that mostly happens in slow moving water. And while scientist believe that they are the product of water that gradually coalescens to form a circular “mat” of ice that rotates around the water, we want to believe that it is actually mermaids having a snowball fight down under.
