Unforgettable Experiences for Your Greece Sailing Holiday

With over 6,000 islands – 227 of which are inhabited – and a coastline-encased mainland, Greece is an incredible destination for a sailing holiday. Quiet coves away from the crowds, lively beaches backed by bars and traditional towns await, as well as ancient relics and picturesque olive groves. Whether you’re planning to investigate yachts for sale as a long-term investment or charter a crewed vessel for your stay, you’re guaranteed great memories from your Greece sailing holiday. Make sure to include these four unforgettable experiences to ensure it really is the trip of a lifetime.

Wine tasting in Santorini

Greece has been growing grapes for millennia, making its vineyards some of the oldest in the world. Explore the nation’s rich wine heritage with a wine-tasting experience in Santorini, arguably the most romantic spot in Europe.

Sample a variety of vintages from the local area and beyond as you watch the white-washed houses that slope down the hillside glowing first gold and orange and then pink and purple in the setting sun.

Sail around Milos

Make the most of your elevated accommodation and spend a day sailing around Milos in your yacht. Largely untouched compared to neighbouring islands, it’s a picturesque paradise of unspoiled white sand beaches, rugged golden cliffs and small fishing villages with cafés serving the catch of the day.

Milos is only 160km2 so you can circumnavigate the island in just one day, but if you have longer it’s worth taking longer so you can stop off at the hidden gems only accessible by boat such as Polyaigos and the famous Kleftiko Beach with striking white rocks lapped by azure ocean.

Explore ancient Delphi

In ancient times, pilgrims from all over the Mediterranean would make the journey to Delphi to hear prophecies from Apollo via the oracle. Today, tourists flock here from across the globe to explore the archaeological highlights of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As well as the remains of centuries-old sacred structures, Delphi has a variety of fascinating museums where you can learn more about the culture of Ancient Greece and the town’s position in national folklore.

Discover Mount Athos

Experience life as it was during the height of the Byzantine Empire at Mount Athos in Chalkidiki, northern Greece. To this day, the mountain is an important center of Eastern Orthodox monasticism, and visitors should be aware that women cannot visit areas governed by the monks due to tradition.

This peaceful and private community can only be reached by boat, so you are sure to evade the crowds here. Soak in the serenity of your surroundings and take time to explore the imposing cliffside monasteries.

The Everyday Test: Choosing Two Rings for Two Different Lives

Couples share a home, a calendar, and frequently a bank account. They do not share a pair of hands. One partner may spend the day at a keyboard while the other is on a site, in a kitchen, or in a workshop, and those two people have genuinely different requirements from a ring. Treating this…

Toddler Sleep Safety Myths I Wish Parents Would Stop Believing

By Dr. Deepak Khanna, D.O. I get asked about toddler sleep more than almost anything else that isn’t technically in my job description.
