Vintage Classic Glam Photoshoot

As quarantine progresses, Katarina Van Derham and I have been conducting more and more vintage photoshoots. As a huge fan of the past eras, I’ve been super proud of the results. Here’s our newest vintage classic glam photo set. And be sure to check out our past sets here:

Now, you may be wondering why in the world I have pink hair in these photos? Well, in December of 2020, I did a collaboration with Ashlee Norman and MUYvette, and this was the result. I figured, “It’s Quarantine, I’m not going out, why not express myself completely had take hold of that freedom of expression?” Generally, I don’t alter my look at all. As an actress and model, it’s not really a good idea to alter your image unless for an express purpose.

But with the right timing (and an accidental darker than anticipated dye-job), this was the outcome of a collaborative hair experience. I did really enjoy how the hair could look more pink and ethereal (fairy-like, perhaps) in the first photo and then also look more red (like in the photo directly above) depending on the lighting.

As we started our day planning out this photo set, we began at 4:30am to take the first photos with the rising sun. The above photo was taken in freezing temperatures, but that doesn’t stop me from going out in bare feet and almost no clothing to get that ideal photo. After all, freezing your butt off is a large part of modeling, right? Despite being a little larger than my ideal weight when taking these photos, my back muscles really stood out against the contrast of the image.

And, lastly, while the above image looks almost nothing like me, it’s one of my favorites. I like how it comes off very against my natural character. I like the colors of my hair in this photo. And I like the classic, glam robe and corset against the more punk-style of hair.

Which photo is your favorite from this set?
