Vintage Victorian Photoshoot

Those who know me know how much I love dressing up in vintage garb. Old-fashioned shoots are always my favorite! Luckily, Katarina Van Derham has been on a photo kick and taking gorgeous vintage-inspired photos of me for VIVA GLAM Magazine. They are stunning! These are really my favorite photos yet to date! Check them out below and let me know which are your favorite.

If I was ever a Victorian woman, this photo above would absolutely represent me to a t. Traveling abroad with my cute little camera, constantly in action, you bet! I would have absolutely been a 19th century adventurer had I been born at that time. And the above look showcases that adventure mixed with the feminine class of the time.

And, alas, this set is a representation of one of my all-time favorite fictional ladies, Christine Daae. The wild, natural curls, the white flowy, Victorian robe, and that touch of the late 1890s. It’s all here! This set accidentally came out this way. It was a vision that Katarina had that she put together. And after she put it together, I realized how much it looked like Christine.

Here’s another fun fact about me, my mother-in-law bought me that square foot of land in Scotland with the papers saying that I am now, officially, a lady! While I do, in fact, think this is awesome (yes, I am that nerd), I would also like to point out that she used the above photo with the teacup to go with it… making me look like, well, a real lady.

Lastly, above we have the photo that I like to call “What harm ever came from reading a book?” because, though it isn’t exactly a perfect match to Rachel Weisz’s Evelyn O’Connell in the Mummy series, this Victorian feel mixed with the book made me go right to that. Perhaps, it’s because The Mummy is one of my favorite movies of all time?
