The Best Summer Pieces for All Your Outdoor Adventures

In my humble opinion, the warm-weather months are truly the hardest to dress for. With increasingly hot temperatures, random storms and rainfall, and a nice mixture of rising humidity, it can be impossible to choose what to wear. In fact, this year in particular, has been my first real summer back on the east coast, and it’s been quite hard to pinpoint what I should be wearing as we go out for family hikes, brave the heat while exploring Shenandoah National Park, and pick out the right athletic-wear for our adventures. Luckily, adidas has been here to help me find pieces that fit well, breathe nicely (even in the sweltering heat), and are water resistant for those sweaty and humid days. So, without further ado, let’s talk about some of the best summer pieces for all your outdoor adventures.

Light and breathable tracksuits

One of most exciting benefits of being an adidas family and part of the adidas blogger community is that we get to mix and match stylish and comfortable tracksuits between us. While Dad chooses a classic black palette for his look, Mom can then go with a more pastel outfit choice. And trust me, the womens tracksuits at adidas are truly chic and stylish. We match without being “matchy”, making for the perfect hiking ensemble.

We’ve been wearing our adidas all summer as we embark on some of the grandest adventures, and we feel comfortable, cool, and stylish 100% of the time. adidas even makes adorable track suits for our toddler! In fact, we’ve had a little too much fun wearing our matching family track suits this summer!

Men’s polos

My partner and I just walked all the way down Dark Hollow Falls in Shenandoah National Park and then back up again. In the humid heat of our hike, he told me, “This shirt is great. It’s not holding any of my sweat or sticking to me at all. It’s the most comfortable I’ve been while sweating in a long time.” I looked over at him, and it was true. His Club Tennis Polo Shirt was not sticking to him at all. The moisture-wicking AEROREADY and breathable mesh fabric of the piece truly made it easy for the most hot and humid of hikes. But even more than that, it was very fashionable, too. The polo he was wearing, while being perfect for any sports outing, also looked classy. It’s a polo- a nice polo that happens to have water-resistant material. He wore it throughout our adventures in Shenandoah, and it was the perfect transitional piece to wear for a summer hike, as you can continue to wear it out to dinner after your hike without any concerns.

For the whole family

As mentioned above, adidas has something for the whole family. When it comes to beach outings or walks in the park with our little girl, this adidas summer-time set was a fantastic option. She gets to look absolutely adorable while also feeling extremely comfortable. She’s leaning into her best self being a little adidas model, and her clothing helps her feel so confident and carefree.

When it comes to family time, there are so many little things you can do to connect with your family and allow everyone to have fun together. We’ve found that getting outdoors and matching our clothing on family hikes and outings has been an extremely happy and healthy benefit to our lives. It’s allowed us to get out, have fun together, and feel appropriately stylish while doing so.
