However, not every mobile game will necessarily be accessible wherever you are on this wonderful planet of ours. Some titles simply aren’t playable in China, for example, while other games aren’t downloadable in Europe. Overall, though, there are some huge releases that tend to work anywhere, especially if you’re able to establish a solid internet connection.

Pokémon Go forces you to explore your surroundings

First and foremost, Pokémon Go is a mobile title that can’t be accessed in certain nations, including parts of China and North Korea at the time of writing, but it’s playable pretty much anywhere else. An augmented reality favorite where you have to walk long distances to enjoy the game properly, there are Pokémon creatures to catch and evolve, gym battles to reign supreme in, and trades to make with your fellow travelers along the way. A truly immersive title you’ll love to play during your escapades in a new environment, Pokémon Go really is brilliant.

Subway Surfers is absolutely huge

At the time of writing, Subway Surfers has managed to amass a staggering 2.7 billion downloads, highlighting its popularity around the world. In this one, players take on the role of a cheeky teenager who loves to wreak havoc on the subway system. However, with a grumpy ticket inspector and his canine buddy to avoid, you’ll have to be on your toes in this one. With high scores to record, this endless runner is superb.
