More Cursed Artifacts From Around the World

As you know, numerous objects around the world have been known to be attached to ghosts or spirits. These items are believed to be possessed or cursed because they bring misfortune to their owners. Some of these objects have already been mentioned in our previous post. However, there are more fascinating stories about these possessed items. As such, we decided to present more cursed artifacts from around the world.

Busby’s Chair

Thomas Busby was an English drunkard who was executed for murdering his father-in-law in 1702. Unfortunately, his killings didn’t end after his death. According to stories, there was a chair at his execution site, which is believed to be cursed. To be specific, anyone who sits on the chair supposedly dies in a terrifying accident. Supposedly, there were about 63 people who died after sitting on the chair. Today, Busby’s chair resides in the Thirsk Museum and has been suspended from the ceiling so that people will not accidentally sit on it.

The Crying Boy Painting

One of the most popular cursed artifacts from around the world is The Crying Boy Painting. In the 1950s, Giovanni Bragolin painted an image of a crying boy, and it was mass produced. In 1985, a British newspaper reported that the painting was linked to multiple house fires. To be specific, a fireman claimed that several houses with the painting burned down, but the painting of “The Crying Boy” was undamaged in each account. Suddenly, a story surfaced that the boy in the painting was an orphan, and his home had been burned. Since then, people have been afraid to hang a copy of this painting in their homes.

James Dean’s Car

One of the most cursed artifacts from around the world was owned at one time by famous actor James Dean. It is a Porsche Spyder with the name “Little Bastard.” According to the stories, Sir Alec Guinness thought that the car was evil. He told James Dean that people would find him dead if he drove the car around. After a week, James Dean died on the road. However, the curse of the car didn’t stop. There are several accidents associated with the car. For instance, the mechanic trying to repair it had an accident, resulting in crushed legs. Aside from that, the doctor who bought the engine of the car met his end in a fatal car accident. Even the truck driver who was transporting the shell of the Porsche had crashed. Today, the locations of Little Bastard’s parts are unknown… and that just may be for the best.
